About me and my process

I'm Enora, a French-Australian, Sydney-based mixed media artist exploring the spaces in between; ocean and land, stillness and movement, tension and softness, the personal and the natural world.

My background in ballet and my connection to the ocean through swimming have shaped the way I approach my work. I'm drawn to rhythm, movement, texture and colour, and to the unexpected possibilities that emerge when different materials come together.

Working intuitively across paper and canvas, I combine acrylic, collage and reclaimed everyday materials to create layered, tactile pieces that invite a closer look. I'm interested in contrasts and the relationships between seemingly opposing elements, where structure meets spontaneity, precision meets freedom, and the familiar becomes something unexpected.

I often incorporate materials that might otherwise be overlooked or discarded, finding beauty and new possibilities in what already exists. For me, making art is an ongoing process of exploration: following my curiosity, experimenting with materials and remaining open to what might emerge.
